Who Needs a Tourist Visa Extension?
- Tourist Visa Holders: Those who entered Thailand on a Tourist Visa (single or multiple-entry) and wish to stay longer than the initial 60-day or 90-day period.
- Visa on Arrival Holders: Visitors who entered Thailand under the Visa on Arrival program and wish to extend their stay.
Required Documents
- Passport: Original passport with at least 6 months validity and a valid Tourist Visa.
- TM7 Form: Completed visa extension application form, available at the Immigration Office or online or in our office.
- Photograph: One recent passport-sized photograph (4x6 cm).
- Proof of Residence: Address in Thailand, such as a hotel reservation, rental agreement, or the TM30 form if staying with a friend or relative.
How to Apply
- Visit the Immigration Office: We will take you to the nearest Thai Immigration Office.
- Submit Documents: We will present your passport, completed TM7 form and other required documents to the immigration officer.
- Pay the Fee: Pay the extension fee of 1,900 THB.
- Processing: In most cases, the extension is processed on the same day. You’ll receive a new stamp in your passport, indicating the extended stay period.
Important Considerations
- Overstay Fines: If you fail to extend your visa and overstay, a fine of 500 THB per day is imposed, with a maximum fine of 20,000 THB. Overstaying can also affect your ability to re-enter Thailand in the future.
